Keeping your hamster healthy and preventing colds is much easier than treating your pet's illness. If you follow all the rules, then your hamster will always be active and healthy until old age. At the first manifestations of a cold, it is necessary to immediately deal with its treatment.
It is necessary
- - antigrippin for children;
- - drops "Enroxil";
- - homeopathic antigrippin;
- - vitamins;
- - chamomile.
Instructions
Step 1
Hamsters can easily catch colds and infections from humans. Therefore, if you catch a cold, then try to contact less with your pet until complete recovery. Animals can also catch cold in cages, which are placed in a draft or near windows.
Step 2
If you notice signs of sneezing or sniffing in your hamster, but at the same time it is active and mobile, continues to feed, place it in a warm room away from the window. Make the litter layer larger. Usually, with these symptoms, your hamster can get better in a few days. If you have not recovered and you notice that the condition of the animal is getting worse, consult your veterinarian, the hamster may need to take medication.
Step 3
Offer the sick hamster warm water to which add milk and some honey. Give him a vitamin preparation in the form of Enroxil drops (2 drops in the morning and in the evening, take within 10 days). For the prevention of colds, use homeopathic antigrippin (1 pea 2 times a day, course 1 week).
Step 4
You can give your hamster an effervescent antigrippin for children. To do this, take 1/4 of a tablet in a 75 ml drinking bowl, dissolve, wait until all gases come out, because animals cannot drink carbonated drinks. Mix the solution well.
Step 5
Add more vitamins to the animal. Fruits and vegetables will be especially useful for him. You can give special dry vitamins, grind them to powder and sprinkle on food. For colds, the hamster can be given chamomile infusion. Pour boiling water over it, brew and cool. Saturate a piece of bread with this broth and give it to your pet.
Step 6
If your hamster shows signs of a serious cold - discharge from the eyes, drowsiness, weight loss, refusal to eat and drink, then immediately contact your veterinarian. If you do not start treatment on time, this can lead to complications, for example, bronchitis or pneumonia.
