Siberian huskies are one of the few breeds native to Russia. They are perfectly socialized, love children, very mobile and not aggressive. In addition, huskies are hardy and adapt not only to natural conditions, but also to life in the house.
Instructions
Step 1
At the beginning of the last century, representatives of this breed were actively used in Chukotka as sled dogs. If you decide to have a husky at home, provide it with long and active walks. Siberian huskies are very hardy and tireless, so when going for a walk, do not forget to take a plate of frisbee and other favorite dog toys with you.
Step 2
The natural inclination to travel long distances is still strong in this breed. Therefore, provide your pet with walks in places where he has not yet been. Research instinct does not allow dog breeders to walk the husky without a leash, as small animals that come across in the path of this hunting dog are perceived as potential prey. For the same reason, you should not keep a husky in the house with rabbits, hamsters, etc.
Step 3
The Siberian Laika will like life in an aviary more than a city apartment. Although many dog breeders will confirm that representatives of this breed get along well in a private house. To socialize the puppy, take it in your arms and stroke it as often as possible at the age of one month. The feeling of loyalty to a person in these dogs is in the blood, so if you caress them from childhood, they will never show aggression (unless the command "fas" is heard).
Step 4
Siberian huskies have a thick coat with which they are not afraid of any weather phenomena. In their natural habitat, they molt twice a year. Bathe your dog only as needed (fleas, heavily soiled). The rest of the hair care is reduced to regular brushing with a special comb (about 2-3 times a week). If you take it with you on a hunt, then be sure to comb the wool, remove all thorns and thistles. Examine the paws for cuts or other injuries.
Step 5
Trim your dog's nails as it grows back. Teach her to this procedure from an early age. Cut only 2-3 mm so as not to touch the blood vessel, otherwise the dog will hurt and bleed. Purchase a special eye care solution at the pet store, as discharge periodically accumulates in the corners of the Siberian husky's eyes. Remove them with a cotton swab dipped in the solution. Examine your dog's ears. As a rule, cleaning is only required when a foreign body enters them. Consult your veterinarian and breeder for the most favorable diet.
