Step 1
Set up the litter box in a secluded place where it will not get in your way and where the puppy has constant access. When the little spaniel tries to crouch down and make a puddle on your carpet, soak a newspaper in it and place it in the tray. Let the dog smell, she will understand that this is a toilet.
Step 2
When you notice that your spaniel is trying to settle in the wrong place, grab it and carry it to the litter box. Do not let him leave the tray until he has relieved his need. After you have achieved the desired result, praise the dog, give it a treat. Soon the spaniel will learn to run to the tray on its own in order to make the owner pleasant and earn a treat.
Step 3
When the puppy is three months old, and all the necessary vaccinations have already been completed, it is time to train your spaniel to walk outside. This is quite easy to do, however, the first time you have to run. Go out for a walk with the puppy at a time when he should want to use the toilet: in the morning, as soon as your spaniel woke up, some time after eating. If you saw that the dog is rushing around the apartment and looking for a secluded corner, grab it and run outside. Do not clean the tray until at least six months, small puppies go to the toilet often. Later, your spaniel will teach you how often you need to walk with it.
