A hamster is such a gentle creature that it is a pleasure to take a soft ball of happiness in your hands. True, the hamsters themselves sometimes have a different opinion. They can bite the persistent owner, bury themselves under the straw and not go out into the light. and with feeding the hamster, difficulties often arise.
Instructions
Step 1
As soon as the hamster has new owners and he feels the unfamiliar atmosphere of the new room, it takes time for him to realize what happened to him and get used to his home. At this time, do not touch, iron or pick him up often. He may be afraid of excessive attention and an unusual voice, which in turn can even lead to a nervous tic. It is best to put food in the trough, pushing it to the edge of the cage each time. So the hamster will have to move further and further from the house each time and he will quickly master the space.
Step 2
After a week has passed, slowly lower your hand into his habitat so that he sniffs it and gets used to the smell. The hamster is afraid of sudden movements, so you should not experiment with his motor apparatus and psyche.
Step 3
Notice which of the treats the hamster prefers. And gradually put this treat in his trough without removing your finger. The next day, put your favorite treat in the palm of your hand and let it crawl over your fingers to it. After a few days, the hamster will get used to your hand and can even be taken out of the cage.
Step 4
Sit comfortably in a chair, arm yourself with food and take turns offering him to try them on his hand. Usually, hamsters do not find fault with the treat, just in case they keep everything offered in their cheeks. And already in his house, the animal understands what comes first and what will wait.
Step 5
When the hamster is eating, do not stroke him on the head - he does not like it. Iron on the back - it will be more pleasant for him.
