Many people, regardless of age, gender and social status, choose a Siberian cat as a pet. Representatives of this breed are very beautiful, graceful, friendly and absolutely picky in everyday life. In order for a Siberian to become your best friend, and you can really be proud of him, you need to raise a Siberian cat kitten from the very first day it appears in your house.
Instructions
Step 1
It is better to take Siberian kittens at the age of 2, 5-3 months. By this time, most babies can already do without a mother.
Step 2
Take care of purchasing all the accessories necessary for the life of a Siberian kitten in your home in advance. The kid will need separate bowls for food and drink, a toilet, a scratching post, a bedding or a bed, a portable travel basket, toys, combs and brushes, and a home first aid kit.
Step 3
Start acquaintance of the Siberian kitten with its new home from the toilet. Experienced cat breeders recommend placing the litter box in a secluded place that your baby has constant access to. Remember that toilet training a kitten is much easier than an adult cat.
Step 4
Never leave the litter box dirty, or the kitten will shit next to it. If this trouble still happens, do not scold the animal, because only you are to blame for what happened. Calmly clean up after the kitten and put it in the tray.
Step 5
Treat the Siberian kitten like a small child, do not hit or shout at him for mistakes and misdeeds. As a last resort, talk strictly to him and explain what exactly the kid did wrong. Train your little Siberian to the word "no". But do not forbid the kitten absolutely everything, otherwise he will simply stop perceiving this command.
Step 6
From the very first days of the appearance of a Siberian kitten in your house, decide for yourself in which places you will forbid him to be. As a rule, many cat owners do not allow their pets to sleep on the master's bed, climb on the dining table, hang on wall carpets and curtains. If you allow your Siberian kitten to break the ban at least once, further education of the baby will be absolutely useless.
Step 7
Take enough time to train your Siberian kitten to a scratching post. When playing with your baby, periodically bring him to this useful device and scratch the front paws of the kitten on it. So you will protect your furniture from the sharp claws of the Siberian.
Step 8
The most important thing in raising a Siberian kitten is patience. Chat with your fluffy baby more often, be affectionate to him. Then the pet will understand that you love him very much.
