Home decorative colic can be a great tame pet. But for this, you will have to take time every day to communicate with the animal, feed it from your hands, talk and, of course, stroke your pet correctly.
Instructions
Step 1
Communicate with your pet when he is in a good mood and ready for contact. Do not fiddle with a sleeping or washing animal and do not bother with caresses to a rabbit that is about to have a snack. Wait for him to finish all the important things.
Step 2
Check if your hands smell like tobacco, cream, or perfume. Rabbits have a fine sense of smell, and they hardly tolerate pungent odors. Wash your palms with baby soap or unscented gel.
Step 3
If your pet is shy, do not make sudden movements and do not try to remove the animal from the cage. It is necessary that communication with you evokes only positive emotions in him. Gently chanting and repeating the name of the rabbit, reach out to him and run your fingertips along the neck and near the ears.
Step 4
Do not try to turn the animal into a position that is more comfortable for you. If the rabbit has turned its back, gently stroke its neck. An animal sitting with its muzzle towards you can be gently stroked along its nose and forehead. Gently massage the sides and back of the lying rabbit. If the animal likes it, it will demonstrate this by turning and substituting its abdomen. Well, if the rabbit jumps back and shrinks into a ball, leave him alone: he may not be in the mood for contact right now.
Step 5
When the animal gets used to it and is happy to take caress, try to gently pick it up in your arms. Some animals like this, others prefer to be stroked when lying side by side on the floor or couch. There are rabbits who love vigorous massage, but most prefer light stroking and scratching.
Step 6
Combine business with pleasure while combing out the rabbit hair while stroking. This will prevent the formation of tangles and the ingestion of wool lumps by the animal. Guide the comb following the movements of your fingers. If the animal does not like scratching teeth, moisten your palms with water and stroke the pet intensively from all sides, not forgetting about the ears and abdomen. Loose hairs will remain on wet hands.
