Looking at the fish swimming in the aquarium, the observer involuntarily notices the objects behind the aquarium, or the pattern of the wall wallpaper. To preserve the effect of the depth of space in the underwater world, it is enough to use a special background for the aquarium, one of which is sticker films, which are distinguished by a low price and the possibility of frequent replacement. They can be installed on the outside of the back of the aquarium, the inside of the back, or on a thin plywood or fiberboard base that attaches to the back of the aquarium frame.
It is necessary
- - rubber spatula or plastic card with smooth edges;
- - a sheet of plywood or fiberboard according to the dimensions of the back wall of the aquarium;
- - self-adhesive backing film for aquariums.
Instructions
Step 1
Gluing to the base for subsequent attachment to the wall of the aquarium from the outside:
Cut out the base for gluing the film exactly to the size of the back wall of the aquarium from thin plywood, cragis or fiberboard (in extreme cases, from thick cardboard).
Step 2
Clean the surface dry.
Step 3
Free the edge of the self-adhesive painting film from the protective layer no more than 2-3 cm from its narrow side. The operation must be performed quickly enough, since the adhesive layer of the film dries quickly and loses its ability to adhere.
Step 4
Place the free adhesive side of the film on the base and press it down, smoothing with a rubber spatula or plastic card over the entire area of the small strip of the adhesive surface.
Step 5
Peel off the next 2-3 cm of the film, pulling it along the width, press with a spatula, leveling the surfaces to be glued and squeezing out the air between them.
Step 6
Cut off the excess film, or gently fold and glue to the back of the base.
Step 7
Attach the resulting background tightly to the frame of the aquarium with tape so that it covers the back wall as much as possible.
Step 8
To adhere the image film directly to the back of the aquarium from the inside or outside:
Use the above film bonding technique. It should be remembered that it will not be easy to remove it later. This option is for those who do not like to frequently change the interior of the aquarium.
Step 9
Sticking with tape:
You can also use double-sided tape or regular tape to secure a piece of film around the outer perimeter of the back wall of the aquarium.
