Walking the dog around the city, travel by public transport, participation of your pet in the competition is impossible without accustoming to the command "Ryadom". Moreover, the dog must obey the owner flawlessly under any circumstances.
Instructions
Step 1
Begin each activity with your dog by walking for 10 to 15 minutes. Only after the walk, proceed to teaching the dog to move around the owner by the command "Near" or by gesture - a blow with the palm of your left hand on the thigh.
Step 2
Take the dog by the short leash and place it on your left. Take the leash in your left hand and hold it at a distance of 20 - 30 cm from the carabiner. Put the loop of the leash over your right hand. The remaining leash between the right and left hand will hang freely.
Step 3
Call the dog by its name and voice the command "Near" in a firm voice. With your left hand, jerk the leash forward, showing the animal the direction, and start moving. When changing the pace of movement, repeat the command and jerk the leash. Watch out for the dog. If the animal runs over the owner forward, then direct the jerk of the leash back, if the dog lags behind the walker, then forward. And if it moves to the side, then pull the leash towards you. When the dog assumes the correct position near the owner, encourage him by stroking, give a piece of your favorite treat.
Step 4
Do not keep the leash taut, otherwise the dog will develop the habit of pulling the owner with him. After teaching your dog to walk in a straight line next to you, work out the cornering training. First, give the command "Near", then make a dash with the leash in the direction of the turn, and then turn in this direction yourself.
Step 5
Proceed to training in bad weather, in the presence of irritants, as soon as the dog learns to command under normal conditions. Then start training your dog to respond to the gesture. To do this, take the leash in your right hand and start moving. At the same time, hit the thigh with your left hand and make a jerk with the leash.
Step 6
Please note that it is possible to say that a dog has been trained to the command "Near" only if it moves without a leash under any conditions on the first command next to the owner.
