In terms of the ability to express their feelings, the cat tribe can rightfully take first place among domestic animals. Cats are so expressive that sometimes it seems - now they will speak! And the question involuntarily arises, is this possible? Someone will be skeptical right away. But do not forget that many pets easily understand and happily carry out our commands, parrots perfectly speak words and whole phrases. Perhaps cats can do that too? Remember how often there are videos of pretty articulate cats!
It is necessary
So, if you seriously decided to teach a cat to talk, it will take a lot of patience, understanding and love for your pet, and his favorite cat treat is always at hand, for immediate reward in case of positive results
Instructions
Step 1
It is best to start teaching not a cat, but a cat. It is known that cats, like other males among animals, are easier to train, respond better to changes and adapt.
Step 2
Start learning from childhood, which for a cat lasts from several weeks to a year. Practice shows that it is already useless to train an animal older than a year.
Step 3
Training should take place in strict isolation of your pet from other cats and cats, both at home and outdoors. Your pet should be completely focused on you, and "not be distracted" by fellow tribesmen when studying human speech. Therefore, if you want to achieve serious results, it is preferable to have one cat.
Step 4
It is best to concentrate on the pronunciation of one word. It will be much easier for a cat to understand and learn it if it is associated with food, for example, "meat". Remember, this word must be pronounced as often as possible and always to the point.
Step 5
Learning must be constant and persistent. If you want to achieve a result, do not be lazy to repeat the studied word to the kitten before eating. Watch his reaction. If everything goes as it should, he will immediately liven up at the word "meat", and understand that now he will be fed. Repeat this word unobtrusively while eating to strengthen the association. The studied word the kitten should hear constantly, at least an hour a day during the whole year of training.
Step 6
There is no need to "put pressure" on the animal, to try to subordinate it to your will. Cats are very independent and freedom-loving, the shown rigidity can only do harm. Treat the kitten as a "partner" during training, do not offend him. And don't forget to always reward with something tasty! Remember, he must be “interested” in a positive learning outcome, just as you are. If your pet categorically does not want to learn and does not make contact, it is better to stop training. Take a closer look at him, perhaps he will prove himself in something else.
