Baby animals are stupid enough, so they do not understand where to go to the toilet. But if you explain everything to the kitten and teach him, then he will gradually learn everything. If you brought home a still very small fluffy, be patient and start raising him.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy your kitten a tray with low sides, you can't do without it. Buying a toilet for adult cats, into which it will be inconvenient for a kid to climb, is pointless - he probably will not appreciate the "gift". Place litter, torn newspapers, or sand in the tray (there is a lot of dirt from it).
Step 2
When the litter box is set up, start teaching your baby to walk into it. When a kitten starts to rush around the apartment and look for secluded places, immediately carry him to the tray, because he most likely wants to go to the toilet. Especially carefully watch the fluffy after he eats, it is after a delicious dinner that the kittens make puddles on the carpet or on upholstered furniture.
Step 3
If the baby has already managed to go to the toilet in the wrong place, slightly poke him with his nose, but only next to a puddle. And then take it to the tray and strictly explain that you can only go to the toilet here. Animals understand the speech and intonation of the human voice quite well. Never beat a kitten for not having time to reach the right place, so he will never learn to walk in the litter box. Explain everything in a calm, stern voice, this will be enough.
Step 4
Thoroughly rinse the "favorite" places that the kitten often goes to the toilet. Animals are attracted by their own smell, and it is he who knocks the kids off the right path. You can soak a small rag in urine and put it in the tray, then next time the baby will smell the inviting aroma and go to where it smells from.
Step 5
Some kittens understand what the owner requires of them literally in a few days, others, on the contrary, cannot get used to going to the toilet in the tray for a long time. In any case, be patient and continue to explain to your baby what to do and where to do it. It makes no sense to scream and get nervous, the time will come, and the kitten will begin to do what it needs. Be kind and considerate towards animals, because they are defenseless.
