Instructions
Step 1
Representatives of the feline family are not very fond of water procedures, so you need to wash the kitten correctly so as not to scare him and not harm his body.
Step 2
First of all, before bathing, you need to take care of the kitten's eyes and ears. To avoid eye irritation from soapy water or foam, you should drip eye drops into your eyes before bathing. The ears can be plugged with cotton swabs to prevent water from entering.
Step 3
For bathing kittens, you need to use a special shampoo. It has reduced foaming and lower acidity.
Step 4
Prepare a container of water for bathing the kitten and a container of water with which to rinse off the soapy water. Pour enough water into the bathing container so that it reaches the standing kitten just below the chest. Put a terry towel on the bottom of the container, standing on it, the animal will feel more comfortable.
Step 5
The water for washing the kitten should be about 39 ° C, and a little cooler for rinsing.
Step 6
Take the kitten with one hand by the front paws, and with the other by the hind legs and gently place it in the water. Let the animal get used to the water a little and let go.
Step 7
The shampoo should not be poured directly onto the fur of the animal. First pour in the detergent and spread it over the palm of your hand. Then use your hand to lather the kitten's fur and gently massage the skin. It is necessary to wash the kitten correctly, soaping in the direction of hair growth.
Step 8
Talk to the animal in a calm and gentle voice while washing, this will help it calm down a little.
Step 9
After soaping, take the kitten with one hand and pour clean water over it with the other. Pay special attention to the tummy and places under the paws - they often remain, they are not rinsed enough.
Step 10
When the soapy water is washed off, run your hand over the animal's fur, as if wringing out the water.
Step 11
Wrap the kitten in a towel and wait for it to absorb moisture. The kitten will dry itself.
