Description of the breed
The main physical data of the Moscow guard dog is active, has voluminous and well-developed muscles. The head is massive, which gives the breed a rough exterior. The cheekbones and occipital protuberance are well developed, the cranial part of the head is somewhat longer than the muzzle.
Large lips are characteristic, and the bite of the dog is scissor. There is a wide forehead and rather small eyes, framed by pigmented eyelids. Small triangular ears are not located near the line of the eyes, but slightly higher.
The Moscow guard dog has a harmoniously developed physique with a well-defined withers and a muscular neck. The breed is characterized by a straight back, a wide chest, protruding forward, and a taut belly. The dog's body is covered with a thick and tough coat, which helps the dog to stay out of the cold in winter without problems.
The Moscow guard dog always has a two-suit color. The most common is red with brown, perhaps a combination of such tones as red with black, red and white, but the dog's chest is always white.
According to the standards, the growth of this breed should be at least 68 cm, but the dog can be slightly taller. The average weight is 45-65 kg.
