Both the male and the female can be taught the pronunciation of short or long words. If you have two or more parrots living in your home, you should conduct "lessons" with each bird separately. It should be taught to her “human” speech by the one to whom the bird from the family is happy to go in his arms, takes food from his palm, etc. In addition, a person must have a balanced character, who, in the process of methodically repeating the same words, could not afford to hit the cage or shout at the bird.
Step 2
The younger your pet is, the easier it will be to train him. To help your feathered friend speak faster, take time to practice daily. It is best to break them down into 2-3 sets of 10-15 minutes each. It is important that during these periods of time it is quiet in the room where the "lessons" take place, since it is very easy to distract the parrot even with a subtle sound. Have a tasty treat for your pet ready, because when he learns his first word, he is entitled to a prize for long efforts.
Step 3
Start with one or two easy words that have two syllables and include the sound "r", for example, "hello." Pronounce it over and over again in the same tone, taking the same pauses. The less time elapses between the last sessions, the greater the chances of quickly memorizing sounds. From time to time, you can turn on a tape recording of your own voice for the parrot, but you need to do this infrequently and strictly after (and not instead) of how you talk to the bird "live".
Step 4
Another important point: if you want to teach the parrot to say words or phrases that are appropriate in a given situation, try to pronounce them at the right time. Would you like your feathered friend to greet you or say goodbye? Each time, entering the house, repeat “hello” (“hello”, “good morning”, “what people!”, Etc.), and when leaving - “bye” (“see you soon”, “come again”) … By giving food, you can teach him a funny phrase related to feeding, for example, "Feed me!" etc.
