Usually people are very moved by other people's puppies, but not everyone is ready to accept them as a gift. It is good if the future owner directly expresses a desire to have a dog. And if there is not even a hint of the need for a little friend, it is worth thinking a thousand times whether it is worth giving a puppy to such a person. And, of course, before you give your puppy to a new home, take care of some details.
Instructions
Step 1
The prospective owner must be internally prepared to take responsibility for the life of the pet. After all, a puppy is not a beautiful plush toy. This is a living creature that requires care. This includes early walks, and games with an animal, and training, and food costs, and much more. A person should not only express an ardent desire to get a dog, but also have sufficient knowledge about four-legged pets. The presence of small children in the family is the determining reason for refusing to have some fighting and large breeds of dogs.
Step 2
The puppy should also be ready to "move" to a new owner. The “immigrant” is at least 1-1.5 months old, he must eat independently, be vaccinated and absolutely healthy. Then the adaptation to the new home will be easier and easier for the dog. When giving or donating a purebred puppy, you must take care of the presence of the Russian Cynological Federation (RKF) mark on the inner surface of the ear or on the groin fold of the dog. It must strictly correspond to the puppy card of a purebred dog.
Step 3
It is good if you present a puppy care kit to a new inexperienced owner as a pleasant addition to your pet. These are safe toys, bowls, leash and collar, mattress, a set of familiar food. These useful gifts will be appreciated by both the new owner of the dog and the animal itself.
Step 4
You should take care of the comfortable transportation of your pet. It is better if it is a special carrying bag, so that the puppy, out of fear and anxiety due to an unusual environment, does not run away and injure himself in a car or public transport. And also very small puppies in winter should be wrapped in a warm blanket in order to avoid frostbite of the still immature crumbs.
