Pinschers are easily recognizable among other breeds by their cropped ears. According to the International Cynological Federation, Pinschers include Dobermans, German Pinschers, Miniature Pinschers (Miniature Pinschers), Affenpinschers and Austrian Shorthaired Pinschers. Different breeds of dogs have different nutritional needs, and Pinschers, especially puppies, are no exception.

Step 1
In the first days after birth, puppies should eat their mother's milk. At 4 weeks of age, start feeding your puppy from a bowl. The first complementary food - warm goat milk - give the puppy at three weeks. Feed puppies at the age of 1–2 months 6 times a day. Feed Pinschers at the age of 2-4 months 5 times a day, feed older puppies (4-6 months) 4 times a day. At the age of 7-12 months, Pinschers are fed 3 times a day. From 12 months, transfer the dog to two meals a day.
Step 2
You can feed your dog either natural products or ready-made food. It is not recommended to mix both types of food, and it is advisable to teach the puppy to a certain type of food from childhood. The products used must be fresh and of good quality.
Step 3
Choose only premium dry food for your puppy - cheaper food can cause allergies or digestive problems. If, nevertheless, the puppy has allergic manifestations after this or that food - contact your veterinarian. If the puppy eats dry food, you do not need to give him anything extra. Serve fruit and vegetables occasionally as a dessert or treat.
Step 4
Soak dry food for the first three months of a puppy's life until mushy in warm water. Remember, when feeding dry (and soaked) food, Pinschers have an increased need for drinking water. Dry food is given to the puppy according to the food manufacturer's recommendations.
Step 5
If you decide to feed your Pinscher puppy with natural products, the recommendations are as follows. Give the puppies buckwheat, oatmeal and rice porridge, boiled in water, with steamed vegetables. Suitable for feeding beets, carrots and cabbage. Give the meat (veal, lamb, lean beef, chicken) finely chopped, and add vegetable or olive oil and vitamins for puppies to the feed portion (you do not need to add vitamins to ready-made feed). Buy vitamins in specialized pharmacies.
Step 6
Give the puppy meat daily. Previously, it must be kept in the freezer for several days, then finely chopped and poured over with boiling water. It is not recommended to feed with minced meat - it is poorly digested. It is forbidden to give pork to puppies - it has a bad effect on the liver. From 6 months, offer the puppy by-products: tripe, lungs, udder, liver. Be sure to boil them so that the dog does not have worms.
Step 7
Feed the dog with cottage cheese until 6-7 months. Cow's milk is poorly digested, so give your puppy yogurt and yogurt to help digestion. Give eggs in a mixture with dairy products, with porridge and in the form of omelets. If your puppy eats meat regularly, just one egg per week is enough.
Step 8
As for fish, it is preferable to use raw seafood, which should be pre-rinsed with boiling water. Smoked and salted foods are prohibited. Boil river fish, it is even desirable to pass it through a meat grinder so that the puppy does not choke on small bones. In general, meat bones have no special nutritional value, and tubular chicken bones can cause intestinal perforation. To strengthen the teeth, invite the puppy to nibble on rye crackers.
Step 9
From childhood, teach your puppy to eat greens and fruits - parsley, lettuce, apples, carrots. It is forbidden to give beans and potatoes, because dogs do not have enzymes that break down starch. Once a week, you can give a finely chopped clove of garlic - this is an excellent prevention against worms. In spring, add young nettles to your dog's food.
