In winter and early spring, the birds are sorely lacking in feeding. And they very often die from this. You can help the birds by building a do-it-yourself feeder. After all, one feeder can save several hundred birds.
Instructions
Step 1
The feeder can be made from any material at hand, but it will be the strongest from wood. The structure will not be damaged by wet weather, and the cat will not get into it. And you can hang it on any tree in your garden or on the balcony, it will serve as protection for food from rain, wind and snow. Thus, you can always watch the birds, it will be very interesting for you and your child. Moreover, you can see rare birds at the feeder and observe their behavior.
Step 2
Height and width can be different. It all depends on how much material you have. Take the most common tools that are in every home: a hammer, a saw and nails. First, nail the floor to the bars. Nail plywood on the sides, you get a small box (leave one side without plywood). And then attach the roof to the posts. The dimensions of the roof should be larger than the dimensions of the feeder itself. After all, it is an important element.
Step 3
You can also always show your imagination and make a feeder in the form of a cottage, rotunda, street lamp, Russian hut, a handbag or a hut on chicken legs. In any case, it will become a real decoration of your balcony, garden or summer cottage. And to make your products more beautiful, use paints and varnishes.
