The entire period of fattening is divided into three periods - milk, when all organs and muscles develop, rearing, when there is an intensive growth in height and length, and directly fattening, when weight is gaining. Instructions
Step 1
Piglets weaned from a sow at the age of one and a half or two months grow best. The farm needs to keep at least two piglets, since piglets are herd animals, and if one individual is kept, the piglet may have a poor appetite, which will slow down growth.
Step 2
During the dairy period, the main diet of a piglet is whole cow's or goat's milk. Each pig should be given at least three liters of milk every day, as well as 1 liter of boiled porridge from any small cereal. The most commonly used boiled crushed grain with the addition of buckwheat and oat flour. Feeding piglets should be fractional and frequent at least 4-5 times a day with equal intervals.
Step 3
From three months, the pig is transferred to milk diluted in two times and the feeding is reduced to three times. Chopped fresh grass, vitamins, minerals, bran are added to the diet. Gradually, the animal is transferred to green food and bran with the addition of meat and bone and fish meal, vitamins. Milk is replaced with whey or skim milk. Piglets grow intensively up to 5-6 months. At this time, they should walk a lot in the sun, and even better graze on the grass.
Step 4
From 5-6 months, the fattening period begins, which is the final stage in the rearing of piglets. At this time, walks are completely canceled, piglets are transferred to small pens and begin to intensively feed with high-calorie mixtures. Boiled root crops, kitchen waste, crushed grain, cake, feed mixtures should be introduced into the diet, and also continue to give meat and bone meal, fish meal, fish oil. Meals should be frequent, at least 4-5 times and abundant. The more nutrients the piglet receives, the faster it will gain weight, since the growth period is over and all feed is being used to gain weight. The final fattening period ends in 1-2 months after gaining live weight of 120-130 kg.
