A dog has always been considered a friend of man, but sometimes this animal is capable of unpredictable actions. The dog brings a lot of joy to the house and becomes a real member of the family, but, unfortunately, not all owners of four-legged animals know how to behave correctly in a given situation with an animal.
Instructions
Step 1
When meeting on the street with a whole pack of aggressive and running mongrels, in no case try to run away, otherwise in this way you will make it clear that you are afraid of animals, and then an attack from their side cannot be avoided.
Step 2
Try not to panic. Pretend you are taking the stone. Even such a gesture will make it clear to the dogs that your next move will be a stone throw, they will be alert and run away.
Step 3
Often, when you see someone else's dog, you just want to stroke and caress it. But no matter how funny she looks, do not forget that this is primarily an animal in which protective instincts are laid. If at first the animal dodges your intrusive attention, then the dog will growl or snarl. After all, it costs nothing to hurt a person with her teeth.
Step 4
When communicating with an animal, follow certain rules of behavior. Do not wave your arms or run around the dog screaming - this can scare him. After all, the dog in this case does not know whether you are playing with it or present some kind of danger. One animal can begin to defend itself and pounce on you, while another dog will gladly enter the game with you. Therefore, it is not always easy to predict her behavior.
Step 5
Never approach a dog on a leash, show that you are afraid of it, and do not take away a toy. If you feel that the animal is ready to rush at you, stop abruptly and in a firm, confident voice give the command "sit!", "Lie down!" or "stand!" Without raising your hand high, throw any object towards the dog.
Step 6
Do not trust your dog to strangers, do not leave it unattended and near children. Do not disturb the animal while eating and sleeping. Do not stare into the eyes of a stranger, thereby expressing a threat.
Step 7
Only feed your dog after you have eaten yourself, and do not give him anything from the dinner table. After all, you are the owner, and the leader always eats first. Otherwise, the opposite will be true. Sometimes it can be helpful to take a bowl of food and see how you react. Make sure the dog is not complaining.
Step 8
If she is angry and growls, show that you are not comfortable with this behavior. Roll the dog on its side, grab it by the neck and hold it in this position for a while. Release only after the dog weakens resistance or surrenders. While the animal is in a lying position, do not be silent, but speak in an even tone. Ignore the dog's attempts to escape.
