Their successful growth and development depends on proper feeding of small pigs. For feeding, there are rules and a table for introducing new feed into the diet. Feeding should be started while the babies are still with their mother. This will reduce the intensive loss of live weight of the sow, accustom the piglets to self-feeding and increase their weight 6 times by the time of complete weaning in two months.
It is necessary
- - cow's milk;
- - boiled water;
- - hay dust;
- - boiled root vegetables;
- - oatmeal jelly and porridge;
- - nettle;
- - bean hay.
Instructions
Step 1
From the third day after birth, small piglets need to put a trough according to their growth with clean boiled water, from the fifth day - warm cow's milk, from the eighth - oatmeal jelly and boiled oatmeal. It must be cooked very liquid, in whole cow's milk. From day 10, bean hay should appear in the diet - it must be finely chopped and placed in a separate trough. If for some reason the piglet is left without a sow, it should be fed from a bottle with a teat 14 times a day with warm cow's milk.
Step 2
From day 15, the diet is enriched with juicy feed, root crops, finely chopped fresh grass. All root vegetables should be peeled, boiled and mashed. 8 times a day it is necessary to replace the entire feeding with a fresh mash. Vegetables can be crushed and diluted with fresh cow's milk. Thoroughly wash the trough and scald with boiling water.
Step 3
Be sure to give the piglets dry hay dust and hay leaves. It can be placed in the trough between feedings. If the piglets are winter, then chopped nettle should be used as a top dressing. This will replenish the supply of vitamins and accelerate the growth of animals.
Step 4
In two months from the start of feeding, 17 liters of whole cow's milk are consumed per pig.
Step 5
At two months, piglets are transferred to full self-feeding. This period is painless, as the animals eat on their own.
Step 6
Piglets continue to be given whole milk, root crops, concentrates, vitamin and mineral supplements are added, a trough with red clay and mineral feed is placed in the zone of constant access. Feeding should be five times a day.
Step 7
From three months, piglets are transferred to reverse or whey, released for walking and fed the entire rearing period with bulk feed.
Step 8
From 6 months, the final stage begins - fattening. Piglets are given a lot of high-calorie feed, they stop walking.
