Step 1
Induce vomiting in the animal first. To do this, gently pour a large amount of water into the cat's mouth using a syringe. Try to do everything carefully so as not to scare your pet. Also, a cleansing enema will not hurt, because some toxic substances quickly enter the intestines.
Step 2
Try to figure out what exactly the animal ate. After that, go to your veterinarian. The doctor will examine the cat, take tests and prescribe medications: either antidotes or sorbents.
Step 3
If you cannot take the animal to the doctor, then carefully monitor its condition. On the first day, do not feed the cat with anything. Pour clean water into a bowl, to which add a little potassium permanganate if necessary.
Step 4
Give the animal laxative salts, Magnesia will do. On average, only 3-5 g per 30 ml of water is enough for one dose. The solution turns out to be bitter, so the cat may resist. Laxative salts will cleanse the intestines of the animal from toxic substances.
Step 5
Brew flaxseed: 1 tablespoon per glass of boiling water. Pour 20 ml into the cat's throat 4 times a day. Flax seed has an enveloping effect and has a positive effect on the stomach and intestines. If you don't have a seed, make a jelly from starch, but no added sugar. It has the same properties.
Step 6
Give your cat diuretics if the kidneys are not working well due to poisoning. Suitable, for example, "Diuretin", "Diakarb" or "Regit". Watch to see if the cat goes to the toilet. If there is no diuretic effect, contact your veterinarian immediately.
Step 7
Gradually start giving the cat dairy products, but it is better to give up dry food for a while. Mashed potatoes, lean minced chicken, and various broths are also suitable.
