A small puppy looks like a child. He is just as helpless and needs our care. He needs help to adjust to the norms of life. One of these tasks is collar training. This process will take about a month.
Instructions
Step 1
A puppy collar is usually required at two months of age. The collar material should be soft. Genuine soft leather is good as a material. Genuine leather is wear-resistant, not subject to the penetration of sunlight, as a result of which it does not fade or fade. You cannot blindly follow fashion and put on a collar with rhinestones or other accessories on your puppy. They can scratch your dog's skin and cause discomfort when moving. Make sure that the collar does not squeeze the still fragile bones of the puppy's neck. When the dog is running, the collar should not interfere with the breathing process. The collar should sit freely and be imperceptible by weight.
Step 2
Once you have bought a collar, you must show it to the puppy for him to appreciate. The puppy must get used to the smell of someone else's object. For the first time, you should try on a collar on a dog before eating food. At this point, all thoughts and reflexes of the puppy are directed towards food, so he will not react strongly to you.
Step 3
Once the puppy has eaten, it should be walked without removing the collar. Let him frolic on the street, sniff other dogs, then pick him up and take him home.
Step 4
At home, upon returning from a walk, playfully remove the collar from him and put it on when it's time to feed. Thus, by repeating this procedure daily, the puppy will get used to his new accessory. He will know that when the feeding comes, he will be put on a collar and after that he will walk. After a month of such exercises, the puppy will reflexively substitute its head under the collar.
