Cat wounds are quite common. Therefore, every owner of a purring pet should know how to properly treat small tissue damage that is not accompanied by profuse bleeding in his pet.
It is necessary
- - sterile bandage or gauze;
- - scissors;
- - cotton swab;
- - brilliant green;
- - iodine;
- - alcohol or vodka;
- - tweezers;
- - a tablet of streptocide or sulfadimezin;
- - ranosan or baxicide P;
- - 3% hydrogen peroxide solution;
- - petroleum jelly;
Instructions
Step 1
Cut a piece of sterile bandage with scissors and press it firmly against the wound, thus stopping bleeding from it. Only after making sure that your cat is not threatened with blood loss, proceed to the treatment and treatment of damage.
Step 2
Take a sterile cotton swab and moisten it with a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution, which has several properties necessary in this case - it is a disinfectant and hemostatic agent. Then, gently rub the skin around your pet's wound, being careful not to wash off the blood that has baked directly into it. Your task at this stage is to remove blood and purulent masses from the skin of the animal near the wound site.
Step 3
Cut off the hair around the wound of your pet with scissors, after lightly lubricating them with petroleum jelly - then the hairs remain on them. After that, carefully inspect the surface of the wound and, if there are foreign objects (for example, grains of sand or glass) in it, try to carefully remove them with tweezers rubbed with vodka or alcohol.
Step 4
Soak a cotton swab in any disinfectant you have on hand (this can be brilliant green, iodine, alcohol, or vodka) and gently lubricate the skin around the lesion. It is advisable to sprinkle the wound itself with a special powder that promotes the healing of damaged tissues in animals, for example, Ranosan or Baksocide P. your pet's wound.
Step 5
Cover the wound site with a piece of sterile bandage or gauze and, no matter how hard your pet resists, firmly fix the applied sterile napkin with a bandage. Change the dressing twice a day until the cat's wound is completely healed.
