Feeding a bullmastiff puppy is not fundamentally different from feeding other dogs' puppies. However, the bullmastiff must have excellent preparation for the service, so it must still be fed so that the musculature of the future "serviceman" is in perfect condition.
Instructions
Step 1
Prepare two bowls for the puppy (for food and water) and secure them on a stand so that the baby does not hunch over during the meal. Otherwise, in an adult dog, not only will the spine be curved, but also the front legs will be weakened. It is best if you make a special bowl rack to gradually raise the bowls as the puppy grows.
Step 2
The water in the bowl should be changed after each feeding, and the puppy should be fed at least 3 times a day. The total amount of feedings is calculated depending on the age of the puppy and its body weight: up to six months - 6-7% of the puppy's body weight, from six months to a year - 3-4%.
Step 3
You can feed the little bullmastiff with dry food, or with natural food. If you are going to feed your puppy with natural food, be sure to buy special vitamins and minerals in the vetaptech so that he does not need them.
Step 4
Until 3-4 months, the puppy should not be given raw meat in pieces. Boil the meat and scroll it through a meat grinder, and cook porridge in the broth (any, except for peas, so that the baby does not puff up). In addition, vegetables and fruits (raw, but finely chopped), egg white, fish or poultry meat, etc. can be added to the porridge. Milk and dairy products should be given separately.
Step 5
From 3 months you can already start giving the puppy bones: first soft (boiled cartilage), then - normal. The seeds should be given "for dessert", as this, firstly, will help the baby's digestion, and secondly, it will add calcium and phosphorus to his diet, which are useful for growth.
Step 6
At 6 months, the puppy can be fed 2 times a day. Give him as much protein as possible, but don't forget about cereals. During this period (up to a year), you should increase the amount of raw vegetables in the dog's diet, and also, after consulting a veterinarian, give her pills to increase immunity.
