There are not so many striped animals around the world. Statistics show that there are only about 30 species of them. The world's most famous minke whales are tigers, zebras and raccoons, while the lesser known are the striped musk cat, striped hyenas, striped owls and striped monitor lizards.

Step 1
Tigers
It is generally believed that the homeland of tigers is Southeast Asia. It was from there that these striped cats settled closer to the north, reaching the Ussuri region and the Amur region. However, the Far East is not the only habitat for tigers: once these predators in large numbers inhabited India, the islands of Sumatra, Java, Bali. Tigers are nocturnal hunters, and their orange and black stripes are a wonderful camouflage when hunting. It is worth noting that tigers are solitary hunters.
Step 2
Zebras
These animals are found only in Africa. Their habitat is quite large. For example, the so-called desert zebras live in arid African regions: they are found in Kenya and Somalia, they are found in Ethiopia. The skin of these animals is painted in black and white stripes, like the wand of a traffic police inspector. Most often, these "minke whales" are kept in herds, like ordinary horses. Often, single zebras can join a herd of giraffes. Currently, striped horses are on the verge of extinction: they are exterminated by Europeans. It's all about the skin, which has been highly valued since ancient times.
Step 3
Raccoons
These are carnivorous mammals that live mainly in America. In Eurasia and in Russia, there is only one type of raccoon - striped coons. Raccoons are distinguished by their pronounced striped tails and painted striped faces. These "mustachioed-striped" creatures are rightfully called the cleanest animals: before starting their meal, these weasels thoroughly rinse their food in water. Scientists are still unable to uncover this phenomenon.
Step 4
Musk cat
This animal lives only on the island of Madagascar and has nothing to do with the cat family. The musk cat is a very ferocious animal. Its zoological name is small civet. He belongs to the civerrids family. The stripes cover the body of the small civet from head to toe. This animal is prized for its aromatic musk produced by special glands. People use the valuable musk in perfumery.
Step 5
Striped hyenas
These creatures live in both North Africa and Asia. These animals are large creatures weighing about 60 kg with a growth of 90 cm. Minke hyenas are predominantly nocturnal, being true connoisseurs of everything dead, i.e. scavengers. Noble tigers and lions hate striped hyenas.
Step 6
Striped owls and monitor lizards
Striped owls are owls. They have long tails and extraordinary loud voices. Owl lives in North America. Among the dinosaur-like monitor lizards, there is also a separate striped species. The striped monitor lizard is a rather large and semi-aquatic predator. The striped skin of this reptile is highly prized and used in the production of various accessories.
