And a playful puppy in the heat of his fun can overturn a green beauty, which is fraught with cuts of varying degrees of depth, bruises and wild fright. It is better to buy solid strong garlands instead of rain, and change the Christmas tree decorations to strong ones so that the pet cannot break them. Well, try not to let your pet spin around the tree too much, it is better to lock it in another room during the celebration.
Food from the New Year's table
All kinds of salads, sandwiches with sausage, ruddy chicken, juicy beef, fatty pork and fish - all this is so appetizing, so tasty that you involuntarily want to please your pet with sweets from the New Year's table. So if you are going to have a noisy party, it is better to lock your pets in another room or, in extreme cases, give them to a special hotel for animals, if there is nowhere to lock them at home.
Fireworks and other noise
For you, New Year's fireworks are just beautiful sparkling lights that are so interesting to watch, but a poor animal can experience real stress from a sudden rumble that sounded outside the window, or a freshly used firecracker right under his nose. In a fit of fear, the cat can hide in the farthest corner or scratch the knees of the poor grandfather, at whom she slept so sweetly some five minutes ago. Although, of course, there are pets that practically do not react to noise, but there are not so many of them.
Therefore, take care of soundproofing - put a blanket rolled up on the windowsill, if you do not have plastic windows (plastic windows themselves perfectly isolate the apartment from noise outside), draw up the tulle and curtains, give the animal a sedative and, if possible, leave it in the quietest room … If you have a dog, do not try to walk it late in the evening on December 31, and even more so on New Year's Eve, otherwise it will bite someone out of fear or even run away in an unknown direction away from the noisy and sparkling fireworks. And if you have already gone out with the dog into the street, in no case let him off the leash.
