The animal is nocturnal. The animal's method of movement is jumping with the help of its hind legs.

Walabi feeds on vegetation - leaves, grass, cereals, as well as cultivated crops, it can eat bark and some poisonous types of herbs that are not suitable for food for pets.

Walabi pregnancy is short-lived - 35-38 days. Usually a single cub appears, sometimes there are two of them. When the female is still at 5-7 days of gestation, her body is already ready for a new fertilization. The second embryo begins to develop after the previous cub leaves the pouch.

These animals reach sexual maturity by 15 months. Live for about 15 years.
