The upbringing of a dog, regardless of its breed, should be taken for granted. Although this is a rather complicated process, it is still necessary, since raising your pet from a puppy's age, you can avoid many unpleasant, and sometimes dangerous, situations in the future.
The main goal of raising a dog is to teach the animal to respect the owner and his family members. The dog should not be afraid, it should perceive people living with it under the same roof as unquestioning leaders. In order to become an authority in the eyes of a dog, you should adhere to several basic rules in her upbringing.
The owner always wins the game
As a rule, every game with a dog is based on rivalry, power confrontation. This is either a tug of an object, or a non-aggressive, comic struggle-fuss. It is important that from the very first months of life, the puppy realizes that only the owner wins in any game. Also, the dog must be taught to understand that only the owner has the right to finish the game first.
If the dog is playing too much, you need to be able to stop it in time. For this there is a command "no!" is one of several main commands that every dog should know and respond to them accordingly. If the game is built on dragging an object, then at the end of it, this object must remain with the owner. To urge the dog to give the object, you can use the command "give!". This command must also be executed without question.
The dog needs to know its place
The dog should have its own place where it sleeps at night and spends most of its time during the day. However, this does not mean at all that the pet should always be only in this place and nowhere else. For example, a dog can easily stretch out somewhere in a narrow corridor or in any other place, with the exception of prohibited areas: bedroom, nursery, kitchen and wardrobe.
The main thing to pay attention to: if desired, the owner should always be able to drive the dog away from the place where it is currently resting. This must be done in order to once again remind the dog about who is the boss in the house. If the dog is reluctant to leave the place or even growls, it means that the owner is not too authoritative for him, which means it is time to take appropriate measures - to teach your pet the command "place!"
In addition to its owner, the dog must listen and understand the commands of other people living with it in the same house. It is important in raising a dog not to repeat a very common mistake: to allow him what others forbid. All family members must act in concert so that their teams do not confuse the animal and motivate it to make independent decisions.
