Currently, there are only three purebred horse breeds in the world. These include thoroughbred horses, Arabian and Akhal-Teke horses. However, do not confuse the concept of "purebred" and "thoroughbred" horses. In horse breeding, it is customary to distinguish between them: any horse that has a noble and impeccable origin is called purebred, and only one that belongs to one of the three above-mentioned breeds is considered purebred. Arabian horses also have four exteriors: hadban, siglavi, koheilan and siglavi-koheilan. Their main color is gray, but there are also bay stallions, and even red ones.

Arabian horses are considered a special breed. The entire path of their formation goes back several centuries, and for whole centuries the Arabian breed was cared for, preserving its purebredity. The homeland of these beauties is the Arabian Peninsula. During the times of small and large wars, as well as during the period of strife, the horses required special speed and endurance. Horses that combined these qualities were worth their weight in gold. Arabian horses fully met these requirements. To prevent the breed from being cultivated, the owners especially closely monitored the purity of their blood: only the best individuals were selected for reproduction.

Moreover, the Arabian horses are also credited with human intelligence. People treated them as members of their own family: it is curious that the Bedouins fed Arab horses even better than their household members, they were cherished and sheltered from the weather in their own tents. All this made it possible for Arabian horses to become elite horses of the present time. More recently, Arabian horses have acquired the status of the main breed for breeding such breeds as English horse, Percheron, Russian horse, Berberian (Morocco), Andalusian, etc. In the literal sense of the word, Arabian horses are prized as gold bars: these short, strong and graceful horses are worth a fortune!

The peculiarities of this horse breed include a long life expectancy combined with healthy fertility. The Arabs are generally convinced that their purebred horses are a gift from Allah. According to legend, Allah wanted to create an animal that would be fast like the wind. Allah allegedly lowered the Arab horse along with the wind from his hands as a gift to mere mortals. That is - that is: Arabian horses do not run, they - fly over the ground! The ride of these horses is smooth and easy. In addition, since ancient times, the Arabs have endowed their purebred horses with the ability to protect them from all evil spirits.
