These creatures are everywhere! They can be found both on the ground, in the air and in the water. They are generally unmatched in terms of their numbers and diversity, in terms of behavior and nutrition, and, of course, in their adaptation to life. We are talking about arthropods.
The arthropod type is the most numerous. It includes more than 1.5 million different animal species. It is systematically customary to distinguish several groups of arthropods: crustaceans, arachnids and insects. The most popular species of this type are crayfish (crustacean class); spiders, scorpions, ticks (arachnid class); cockroaches, lice, fleas and bugs (insect class).
The main group of arthropods is dioecious animals. But there are also so-called hermaphrodites among them - animals with both reproductive systems.
River crayfish
These are the most famous representatives of this class of arthropods, which are part of the group of decapod crustaceans. In principle, all crayfish are by their nature a kind of river orderlies. They clean the reservoirs in which they live.
Carrion is a fairly easy food for crayfish. She gets it with little or no effort. Feeding on the remains of dead animals, cancer, without knowing it, significantly improves the ecological state of the reservoir.
Spiders
These representatives of the order of arthropods exist almost everywhere where there is life. Their young growth is generally capable of making records: spiders spread over thousands of kilometers! It costs them nothing to cross the sea expanses on their thin cobweb, climb to the top of rather high mountains!
A small spider lets out a very thin cobweb thread, and the wind carries this little weightless crumb forward towards adventure! Sometimes it also happens that spiders flying in the wind are carried almost into the stratosphere.
In general, spiders are very tenacious creatures. If you put the caught spider in a jar of alcohol with a strength of 96 degrees for two hours, and then take it out, then literally in an hour it will dry up and … run away! The largest spider in the whole world is the goliath tarantula.
Scorpions
These are direct descendants of the so-called crustaceans. In general, the very first scorpions were aquatic inhabitants that breathed with the help of abdominal gill legs. Basically, these arthropods lived in shallow water. It is likely that these creatures could have become the first living creatures to hunt on land! The largest scorpion species in the world is the so-called imperial scorpion.
Mites
As part of this species, scientists distinguish three separate orders of arachnids: parasitiform ticks, acariform ticks and the so-called haymen. Among these groups there are both primitive forms and highly developed ones. The higher forms eventually passed on to parasitism. So, the encephalitis tick, infamous to every person, parasitized for this very reason.
Lice and fleas
Lice larvae are called nits. Most often they are located on the hair roots of a person or animal. Outwardly, the nit looks like dandruff, however, by pressing on it from both sides with your nails, you can hear the characteristic cotton. The nit bursts.
Zoologists classify these arthropod insects as skin parasites. Indeed, they bring nothing but infectious infectious diseases to humans. Ticks are also skin parasites. The most famous of them are ixodids.
Bedbugs
These creatures can be found in almost every corner of the planet Earth. Most of them are known to people for their scent glands. That is why if you crush a bug, you can feel a rather sharp and unpleasant smell. No wonder they say - the bug is small, but smelly!
Cockroaches
These are the oldest creatures on Earth. They love warmth and moisture. These insects are predominantly nocturnal. Often they live next to a person, because in their homes they have everything they need - bread crumbs as food and moisture in the toilet or bathroom as water.
