It is better to knit a bitch already on the second or third heat. The flow usually takes place once or twice a year. Sometimes it happens three or four times a year, but in this case, the first or second heat is empty. If the frequency is exactly this, then the bitch after a lapse of time after mating remains unfertilized. But, repeating mating in the next heat, you will get the result. It happens that a dog remains unfertilized during re-mating, then a veterinarian consultation is necessary. Blood tests for hormones may be taken from the dog to determine the cause of infertility.

In terms of the number of days, estrus is 20–28 days. Dogs are knitted from 9 to 14 days, the current 20–21 days, from 13 to 18 days, dogs are knitted, current 27–28 days.

The signs of a bitch's readiness to mate are individual. The bitch becomes restless, playful, whining and often refuses to eat. The bitch's loop is softer, light discharge is noticeable, in a small amount, less often a little light blood. By stroking with your fingers around the loop, you can see that the bitch has pulled her tail to the side or up, lifted the loop up and froze in the rack, hence it follows that she is ready for mating.
Step 5
Optimal mating is one or two times during estrus. It is recommended to knit for the first time with an experienced dog breeder. Dogs participating in mating must first be vaccinated. They knit a bitch on the territory of a dog, since she will not allow him to enter her territory. If the dog is a large breed, then a leather collar, a good muzzle, and a leash are needed for mating.
Step 6
If one of the partners for knitting is smaller in relation to the other, then, as an option, you can substitute an ottoman or a pillow under the hind legs. The second option is if the bitch is lower in this situation, put her tummy on a bent knee. But mainly the relevance of this problem for dogs of small breeds. In no case should you try to bend the paws of the bitch so that the dog can reach it.

When ejaculation has occurred, it is time for mating. Therefore, the dog is on the bitch or stands with its back to it. Here instinct appears, and the dogs will stand until the bitch relaxes the muscles of the uterus. But if suddenly the bitch tries to lie down or break free - you cannot allow her to do this, you need to hold her a little. Before and after mating, you can give the bitch sedatives.
