Most often, these are just chicks that are learning to fly, you do not need to touch them, parents know perfectly well where their children are, control the situation and feed them. Often, a chick dies in caring human hands, because people do not know how to handle it. It is best not to pick up chicks. But if your children nevertheless brought the bird home, or, for example, its wing is broken, then you will have to take care of the baby and feed it.

Step 1
If the chick is still naked and fledgling, it must be constantly heated. It is best to put it in a small bag (knitted sock, fur mitten, etc.) and wear it on yourself for the first time. Chicks need a temperature of 38 degrees.
Step 2
Such a baby needs to be fed often, every thirty to forty minutes with tweezers. You will have to feed caterpillars, flies and flies, small spiders, worms, beetle larvae. You can add a hard-boiled egg or minced meat. You will need a lot of food, so try to constantly look for it or buy at the pet store the larvae of beetles - a mealworm.
Step 3
Most often, crows or jackdaws chicks come to people's houses, it is easiest to feed them, since they gladly eat soaked rolls, cottage cheese, pieces of meat or minced meat in combination with live insects. If you come across a swift or swallow chick, then there is little chance of feeding them, these birds are insectivorous, and you simply cannot provide them with the required amount of food.
Step 4
When the chick is a little older, you can make a warm nest for it (for example, in an aquarium or in a box). You can feed him a little less often - every one and a half to two hours. Usually a hungry chick, only sensing the presence of a person, opens its beak wide by itself. If he is not very hungry, then you need to give him a command - just try to make a loud, sharp sound! The chick will immediately open its beak.
Step 5
As long as the chick does not feed on its own, it does not need to be watered. Just feed him wet food (bread and minced meat soaked in water are great for this). When he begins to eat himself, put water in the drinking bowl for him, if he wants, he will drink. It is dangerous to drink a small chick, it can choke on water.
Step 6
Do not be afraid to overfeed the chick, birds have a very fast metabolism, and they need a lot of food. Also, follow the rule that it is better to feed a little, but often, rather than rarely and a lot. In the latter case, the chick may starve to death.
