A lot of controversy is the question of washing domestic cats. Some people think that a cat needs to be washed every 2-3 months, others prefer not to do it at all. After all, cats are very clean animals and may well take care of themselves.

Step 1
These animals do not smell, they are able to thoroughly lick and clean themselves. But there are cat breeds that simply need the help of the owner in this matter, for example, Persian cats. They have a very fluffy coat, and they themselves are a little lazy, so washing and combing their fur is simply necessary. Many experts believe that cats should only be washed as a last resort (if the cat, for example, is heavily soiled).
Step 2
If the pet has not been accustomed to water procedures from early childhood, then bathing will be a great stress for him. Therefore, at this moment, the cat must be treated very gently and affectionately. You can't shove it unceremoniously into a bathtub or a basin of water. This will make her even more frightened, and the next time it will be even more difficult to wash her. It is necessary to calm the pet and talk to him affectionately during the procedure.
Step 3
Before bathing, you need to prepare a towel, soap or shampoo in advance. You cannot wash a cat with human shampoo! This may cause skin irritation. Only special shampoos from the pet store will do.
Step 4
To choose the optimal water temperature for bathing your pet, you need to lower the inside of the elbow into the water (this is how mothers water is checked when bathing babies).
Step 5
The most convenient way to wash your cat is in a basin or bath. Water must be poured so that the level does not rise above the abdomen, and the legs stand firmly at the bottom of the basin.
Step 6
Dissolve the shampoo in water and slightly knock off the foam. Calmly, trying not to scare, lower the pet into the water. Gently wet the wool with your hands so that it gets wet all over, and massage it lightly. Then, with a weak stream of shower, you need to thoroughly rinse off the soapy foam.
Step 7
After washing, the animal should be wrapped in a towel and thoroughly blotted the coat (the towel should be soft and absorb moisture well). The coat will finally dry out after three hours. Do not dry your cat's hair with a hairdryer!
Step 8
Any cat after such a procedure needs the care of its owner. It is imperative that you pet your pet, treat it with something tasty, i.e. show him that you love him.
