A Central Asian Shepherd (or Alabai) puppy, like any purebred dog, needs special care in order for the animal to develop correctly. Along with professional training and long walks, breeders recommend feeding small Alabai according to a certain scheme.
It is necessary
- - goat milk;
- - raw beef;
- - cereals;
- - dairy products;
- - chicken eggs;
- - vegetables;
- - greens;
- - bran;
- - food gelatin;
- - premium dry food;
- - calf cartilage.
Instructions
Step 1
Make sure your Central Asian Shepherd puppy gets enough breast milk during the first month of life. Beginning at 4 weeks of age, gradually introduce goat milk as complementary foods, followed by liquid milk porridge. Give food at regular intervals, at least five times a day. After a month, transfer Alabay to four meals a day, another month later - to three meals a day.
Step 2
Determine the individual rate of one-time feeding based on the parameters of the puppy, his appetite and mobility. Watch him after eating: his belly should not swell too much. Professional breeders of Central Asian Shepherd Dogs do not advise feeding this breed of dogs abundantly; the average single dose of food for a two-month-old Alabai should be about 150-250 grams. It is possible to keep a Central Asian on milk only until the age of three months, since juniors often have lactose intolerance.
Step 3
If you decide to give your puppy natural food, then after milk porridge, transfer alabay to raw meat (mainly beef) in the form of minced meat mixed with crushed cereals and grated vegetables (carrots, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini). Sometimes, for a change, replace boiled cereals with dry coarse bread. Once or twice a week, introduce a raw egg, sea fish fillets and dairy products into the diet: half cottage cheese with natural yogurt or kefir. Add herbs to food in summer, bran in winter. Give 5 grams of complementary foods daily. edible gelatin.
Step 4
Choose dry food only from well-known manufacturers, premium class, if you decide to put your dog on this type of food. Look for Baby or Puppy on the packaging - this is the label for puppy food. Strictly follow the feeding rate indicated on the package, and do not feed Alabai with vitamins.
Step 5
Do not leave food freely available to your puppy, even if the pet has not eaten the contents of its bowl. Remove any leftover food half an hour after the start of feeding. Make sure that the alabai always has fresh drinking water in the reach, especially if the dog eats dry food. Once a week, treat a Central Asian Shepherd Dog with cartilage or veal moss, then add sunflower oil (you can add it to porridge with minced meat).
Step 6
Avoid giving your puppy food from your table, including on holidays when there are many guests at home. Dogs are contraindicated in fatty, salty and smoked food, pork in any form, sweets, and even more so - chicken tubular bones, which can cause injury to the esophagus and the subsequent death of the pet.
