Your pet must have a veterinary passport. This is necessary in order to enter all the data about the animal, information about vaccinations, past diseases or about preventive measures. This information will help your veterinarian make decisions about treating or vaccinating your cat.
Instructions
Step 1
An international veterinary passport for an animal is made in any veterinary clinic. It enables your pet not only to travel around the country, but also to travel abroad by any means of transport. Therefore, in order to obtain such a document, you need to contact such an institution.
Step 2
The passport contains the data of the owner of the animal: name, surname, place of residence, telephone. This information is necessary to control and account for domestic animals living in a particular locality.
Step 3
Also, the cat's passport contains all the data about the animal: name, gender, date of birth, breed, color, special signs. This information is necessary to establish the owner of the cat in controversial cases. For example, if your pet disappeared and fell into the hands of strangers, only on the basis of the data of the veterinary passport can you prove that this cat is really yours.
Step 4
Additionally, with a passport, an electronic chip with information can be implanted into the animal's paw. Such a chip will help to find the owner if the cat is lost. After all, electronic information will help you easily identify both the cat and its owner.
Step 5
When issuing a passport, there must be a stamp of a licensed veterinary blade and a signature of a veterinarian. Without this data, the document is invalid.
Step 6
The passport indicates all vaccines that were given to the animal: against rabies, panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, calcivicrosis. If the cat lives outside the city or travels to the country in the summer, it is necessary to get vaccinated against lichen. Vaccination is carried out as planned: once a year. A vaccine label is pasted into the passport, the date is entered and the doctor's signature is put. Without such vaccinations, the animal cannot travel by public transport (by train or plane) and travel abroad. The trip can take place no earlier than 21 days after vaccination. If a cat in a hospital was treated for fleas or ticks, then a corresponding entry is also made in the veterinary passport.
