Step 1
Most often, dogs gnaw open hard pieces of furniture: legs, armrests, corners. Try to hide these vulnerable spots from the dog under rugs and bedspreads. If this action does not bring the expected effect, move on to more serious measures to correct the pet's behavior.
Step 2
Before you go to visit, to work, on business, in general, anywhere, be sure to walk your dog on the street. Let her run around and play enough. The pet simply should not have the strength to do domestic dirty tricks. The walk should be quite long. Remember to feed your dog before leaving.

As soon as you see that your dog is about to chew on, for example, the leg of a chair or the arm of a sofa, forbid it. Stop the bad behavior of the animal right away, and not when the furniture is already ruined.

To prevent the dog from gnawing furniture in your absence, leave the radio or TV on when leaving, creating a "presence" effect. Make sure all wires are out of reach of the animal.

Do not forget about daily walks with your pet. Walk an adult dog at least twice a day, a puppy at least six times. Each walk should last at least an hour. Meeting these conditions will help protect your furniture from the sharp teeth of a four-legged family member.
