When it comes to tablets and capsules, there is an important requirement - the cat must be in a sitting position, with the head and forepaws well fixed. Otherwise, there is a possibility of harm to the animal. Place the pill in the cat's open mouth, as close to the root of the tongue as possible. Gently pull the lower jaw away from the upper jaw and keep the head raised while stroking the pet's neck. Wait for the cat to swallow. Be sure to check if the pill is left in the mouth - among the cats there are real sly ones who can cheat the owner around the finger.

The easiest way is to hide the pill in your pet's favorite treat, such as a pate or aromatic sausage. The piece should be small, one tooth. Do not forget that cats smell drugs well, so it is recommended to warm up the treat a little. The smell of food will increase and the tailed patient will swallow the medicine without any problems.
Step 3
When the tasty bait doesn't work, you can crush the tablet and add the powder to wet cat food. Similar actions are performed with the contents of the capsule. Keep in mind that some tablets cannot be crushed or mixed with food, as they may lose their medicinal properties. Consult your veterinarian first.

The liquid preparation in the prescribed dose is drawn into a syringe without a needle. Wrap the cat in a blanket and open its mouth by placing the thumb and forefinger of one hand behind the fangs, where the jaws meet. Slowly pour the contents of the syringe into the side of the throat. Take your time, as the cat may choke and regurgitate the medicine. Be sure to pause so that he has time to swallow. At the end of the procedure, fix the cat's mouth in a closed state and wait 3-4 minutes.

However, not everyone has the opportunity to go to the clinic or invite the veterinarian home several times a day. You can learn to inject subcutaneously into the withers yourself. It is advisable that the pet lie on a hard surface during the injection. Sometimes the place where the needle was inserted swells slightly, a small bump appears. You don't need to worry, this is a normal feline reaction. After 2-3 days, this phenomenon will disappear without a trace.
