Aquarium snails are great helpers in keeping your aquarium clean. There are practically no problems from them, but the benefits are obvious: mollusks purify water and contribute to the normal functioning of all inhabitants of an artificial reservoir.

Step 1
Caring for snails practically does not give their owners much trouble. The main thing is that the aquarium contains water, fish and algae. The snail will do everything else necessary for life itself: it will clean the glass and filter the water. Many shellfish feed on algae and help eliminate pollution and disease in plants. Fish food is also great for snails who like daphnia, gammarus and other types of food.

However, among the inhabitants of the aquarium there are also very capricious individuals. Among them are ampullia, the most ideal conditions for which are a fairly spacious aquarium, warm (26-28 degrees) water and a cut tubifex. Fiza delivers the least hassle. For her, it is enough just to set the aquarium in a well-lit place and from time to time treat it to a small pipe maker and daphnia.
Step 3
Despite the usefulness of snails, aquarium owners need to constantly monitor the number of shellfish. If you think that there are too many snails, try limiting their breeding. To do this, reduce the amount of fish food. Finding out the required amount of food is quite simple. Track how much food the inhabitants of the aquarium eat within five minutes. More than this amount of food is not needed. Thus, you will not pollute the aquarium and put your snails on a hungry "ration".
Step 4
Aquarium predators also help to combat excessive amounts of shellfish. For example, they are very fond of feasting on snails and picking them out of the shells of the battle. Put a small group of battles in the aquarium and they will do their job. But don't overdo it!
Step 5
If you don't have aquarium predators, use a leaf of ordinary lettuce or any other greenery. Place the grass in the tank and wait for the snails to collect on the leaf, then carefully remove it from the container. Repeat this procedure several times if necessary.
Step 6
When changing water and cleaning the aquarium, place soil and rocks in salted water for a few minutes.
Step 7
If the above methods of reducing the snail population did not help, use special zoochemicals and products. But they should be used if it was not possible to reduce the number of unwanted molluscs using the methods described earlier.
