First of all, there is no need to delay training. As soon as he settles in your house, do not waste time - put a diaper or disposable diaper where you want him to go to the toilet. The main thing is that this place is always accessible to the dog without any special barriers. If you want his tray to be in the washroom, you will have to keep the door open at all times.
Step 2
Further, do not take your eyes off your new pet, and, after waiting for the moment when he will be attached to go to the toilet, immediately transfer him to the right place. As soon as he finishes his business, be sure to praise him, stroke him, fondle him. If you suddenly notice that he spotted a place to relieve himself there, and this place does not suit you, rather carry it on a diaper. You will have to repeat these simple operations all the time for a week or two. Remember not to scold the little puppy, just praise him more often when he does everything the way you want.
Step 3
Later, when you are already sure that the dog knows exactly where to go to the toilet, but, nevertheless, does something wrong, you can start punitive measures. So, if a puppy, in spite of everything, tries to do his dirty deeds somewhere not there, you need to scold him and immediately put him in the right place. And when he finishes - praise. Just do not punish the dog in any way if you find only the result of his disobedience. The puppy will not understand anything anyway, he will have time to forget that he did something wrong. But if you saw that the dog went to the right place on his own and went to the toilet there, you need to pet him immediately!
