Until the puppy is vaccinated, he cannot go outside. Since this period lasts up to 2-3 months, you should first accustom your dachshund to the toilet in the apartment.

Take a piece of cellophane oilcloth, put a newspaper on top. If you can buy disposable hygiene nappies for your puppy (they are available in pharmacies), this will be the best option. As a rule, puppies go to the toilet immediately after sleep, feeding and active play. You can easily determine the right moment if you observe your pet: as soon as he gets worried, twists and begins to sniff at the floor, pick him up and take him to the toilet. As soon as the baby has done his job, praise him vigorously, treat him with a treat.
Step 3
If the baby made a puddle or a pile in the wrong place, scold him severely and take him to the toilet. There is no need to punish the puppy or poke his nose - he is still too small and will not understand such treatment. The only thing that you will achieve is fear and distrust towards you.
Step 4
If you carry your puppy to the toilet on a regular basis, he will quickly figure out what's the matter and start going to it on his own.

If you have difficulty in teaching, then you can try the following method: dip a piece of paper into the baby's puddle and put it in the toilet. Puppies are well guided by smell, and this method allows them to quickly figure out what the owner wants from them.
Step 6
As soon as all the vaccinations are done, the quarantine has been passed, you can start accustoming your to the street toilet. While the puppy is small, it must be walked 6-7 times a day, gradually reducing the number of walks to 2-3 times.
Step 7
Take your baby out after every feed or long sleep. As soon as he has done his work, praise him violently. You can leave the toilet at home at first.
Step 8
When the puppy learns to be more or less tolerant, you can clean the home toilet and continue to regularly train the baby to the street.
