Each dog breed has its own characteristics and unique characteristics, as well as requirements for the breed standard. Such requirements apply to puppies of Doberman Pinschers - after birth, puppies of this breed are cut off the tail and ears, and the owner of the Doberman Pinscher must remember that the ears of the puppy after docking must be looked after in a certain way, if the owner wants the dog to further correspond to his breed qualities. After cropping, the ears must be positioned, giving them the desired shape, and in this article we will show you how to do this.
Instructions
Step 1
Get a special wire crown shape to keep the Doberman's ears in the correct position. The uniform must be installed on the dog's head using strips of wide adhesive plaster and elastic bandage, as well as cotton wool. Treat the cropped edge of the ear with brilliant green after the operation to speed up healing.
Step 2
Having bought a "crown", try it on to the dog and adjust it to the size of the head, slightly unbending, or vice versa, bending the wire frame. Wrap the metal base of the "crown" with an elastic bandage with a cotton layer so that the wire does not cause discomfort to the dog. Use a strip of simple gauze bandage to tie it to hold the wire frame around the puppy's head.
Step 3
Place the crown on the puppy's head and gently pull the tip of one ear up to its top wire bar. Glue half of the strip of adhesive to the inside of the ear and, tracing the strip through the wire strip, glue the other half of the strip to the outside of the ear, pressing down on the adhesive to hold the puppy's ear in position.
Step 4
Install the other ear in the same way, securing it to the frame with a strip of adhesive tape. Make sure the ears are symmetrical and the tips are set at the same level.
Step 5
To keep the skeleton on the dog's head, tie it with a wide bandage strap under the puppy's throat, without tightening the bandage too tight.
Step 6
After a week, remove the wire from the puppy's head for a couple of hours to rest. Then put on the "crown" again - the puppy should wear it until the stitches on the edges of the ears are completely healed.
Step 7
When the edges have healed, apply the ear patching procedure using adhesive tape, tissue paper, hydrogen peroxide, and two Tampax swabs. Remove the packaging from the swab and cut the thread. Insert one cylinder into the other so that you can see the edge of the tampon at one end of the cylinder. Secure the cylinders with a strip of adhesive. Wrap the entire cylinder with the adhesive. You need to make two such cylinders - for each ear.
Step 8
Wipe your dog's ears with a hydrogen peroxide tissue and clean them. Dry your ears with a dry tissue. Pull the tip of the ear, pulling it up, and insert the prepared cylinder into the auricle at its bottom. Use a piece of tape to glue the swab to the inside of your ear.
Step 9
With the tampon in place, gently tape the tape over the left ear clockwise and the right ear counterclockwise. Do not curl or squeeze the dog's ears during the pasting process. Raising the ear, glue the base with a plaster, making a couple of turns. Connect both ears with a horizontal strip of adhesive.
Step 10
Check your puppy's ears every day, and after a week, remove the tampon to rinse and ventilate the ears. Then repeat the gluing.
