For example, for a three-month-old female royal python of a rare black and white color, the breeder asked for 16 thousand dollars. The announcement of the sale of this young snake was posted on a specialized resource in February 2013. According to the seller - Colin Weaver, who managed to breed an individual of a unique color as a result of careful selection, his pet may well be considered the "Holy Grail in the world of pythons." In the description for the lot, published on East Coast Reptile Breeders, it was also reported that Weaver spent about 7 years breeding such a snake. The proud owner claimed that in addition to the female for sale, there are only two royal pythons of this color in the world, and one of them was also bred by him.
