You can buy goslings at a poultry farm or get a brood at home using a goose for incubation. But nowadays, electric incubators are increasingly being used. Depending on the size of the device, a large number of young stock can be obtained at once.

Fresh goose eggs are suitable for incubation. Particular attention should be paid to ensure that the shell is clean, without cracks, dents. Dirty eggs are subject to rejection, since washing them is strictly contraindicated.

Before laying eggs, enlighten them on an ovoscope. If the egg is unfertilized or dark spots are visible in the lumen, such material is discarded. In addition, do not lay eggs for incubation that you did not manage to enlighten.

Place goose eggs horizontally in the incubation trays. Once you fill all the available trays in the incubator, set the thermostat to heat up to 37.8 degrees. After 4 hours, raise the temperature to 38-38.5 degrees. Subsequently, maintain the temperature at 37, 8-38, 0 degrees.

From the second day, begin to cool the hatching eggs twice. To do this, in the morning and in the evening, lower the temperature to 32-34 degrees for 15-20 minutes.

Spray goose eggs periodically from the fifth day. In modern incubators, spraying is not necessary. The program includes a change in the temperature regime and the frequency of spraying.

You made the first viewing on the ovoscope before laying the eggs. The second should be carried out on the ninth day of incubation. Remove all eggs without embryos. After inspection, lower the temperature in the incubator to 37, 4-37, 5 degrees. Add air exchange, keep spraying eggs systematically. Conduct subsequent examinations of the eggs on the ovoscope on the seventeenth and twenty-seventh days.

Do not forget that the trays must be turned over 12 times a day for the entire incubation period. If your incubator does not have a spray function and you cannot spray every three to four hours for various reasons, cover the eggs with wet wipes. If this is not done, the embryos may overheat, and you will not get a brood of goslings.

Goslings begin to hatch after 28 days. Full withdrawal takes three days. Sort the hatched goslings, put them in a warm room with a temperature of at least 30 degrees. Reduce the temperature by 2 degrees every five days. By the age of twenty, goslings can be kept at a normal room temperature of 20 degrees. For the first week, keep the weakened goslings in an empty incubator, maintaining the temperature at about 30-32 degrees.
