Step 1
Do not take the kitten away from the mother if he is not yet 1, 5 months old. Moving is stressful for a kitten of any breed. Therefore, the normal reaction of a baby during housewarming is to hide under the bed or bathroom. Do not lure him out, but simply leave a feeder, a drinking bowl with clean water and a tray nearby. Try to be quiet so your baby knows that he is safe. In a few hours, appetite and curiosity will prevail, and the kitten will leave the shelter.
Step 2
Representatives of this breed are distinguished not only by curiosity, but also by a strong temperament. They love to play, quickly become attached to all family members, including children. From an early age, Siamese kittens begin to ask for attention: they meow almost constantly. Thus, the pet tells you that it wants to play or asks for food. Do not ignore him, it is possible that he can take revenge.
Step 3
Siamese cats are considered centenarians (live on average 14-16 years), have good health by nature. They need a balanced diet to maintain their tone and a constant source of energy. Discuss the composition and diet with the breeder and veterinarian in advance. Remember, not every food on your table is good for Siamese kittens. Never give them fried, fatty, sweet and spicy foods.
Step 4
Siamese cats are shorthaired, so grooming is minimal. Bathe kittens only as needed, such as fleas. Brush kittens and even an adult cat at least once a week. Trim the claws as it grows back. Train your animal to this procedure from an early age. Sit him down on your lap, lightly press on the pads and cut 1-2 mm from each claw, stroking and soothing the kitten.
Step 5
Be sure to place or nail a scratching post to the wall. You may need several of them, since Siamese kittens are very energetic, they like to climb, climb up. For this reason, in the first months of life, keep the kitten away from the balcony railings, vents without nets, wires. In no case do not allow to play with small shiny objects: jewelry, caps, buttons, tinsel. Let the kitten have its own toys. Representatives of this breed will appreciate fishing rods and feather toys.
