Step 1
Apply special ear drops (for example, Otoferonol Gold) that kill the harmful parasite and its eggs. Cat (dog) ears need to be cleaned before using this medication. For this, a solution of hydrogen peroxide, or chlorhexidine, is used.
Step 2
Moisten a cotton swab in one of the specified solutions and carefully wipe the auricles. When the ears of the animal are cleaned, you need to drop the required number of drops into the ear, then massage it so that the medicine is evenly distributed. During treatment, appropriate safety measures should be observed, do not allow ear drops to enter the pet's mouth. If, unfortunately, this happens, you need to give the cat a lot of milk.
Step 3
Try to treat your pet for otodectosis with garlic oil. To do this, you need garlic, which is squeezed through a press. It is poured with olive (vegetable) oil and then left to infuse overnight. Already in the morning, you can clean the ears of the animal and also drop three drops of strained oil into each ear. This treatment is carried out daily for 1 month.
Step 4
Also, treat your pet's habitat with chlorine-containing detergents. If you start the treatment right away, it will get rid of the ear in your cat. For dogs, you can use special drops called "Amit Forte". This medication will quickly rid your dog of unwanted ear mites.
