First, check the health of the animal - your cat must be absolutely healthy. Bathing a sick animal can lead to serious complications. So, first of all, make sure your pet isn't moping or getting sick.

Now go to the choice of shampoo: first, immediately give up the idea of washing the animal with even the mildest products intended for humans. Even the most neutral baby soap will ruthlessly wash away the protective layer of lipids from your cat's fur and skin. Dog shampoo (even the smallest, longest and show ones) is also not suitable for this responsible purpose. Try to choose a natural or ph-neutral cat formulation.
Step 3
Then prepare two towels. One, large, fluffy and terry, will wipe the cat and remove excess moisture from its fur after bathing, while the second can be placed on the bottom of the bath. This will make the animal's stay in it a little more comfortable, providing the illusion of some kind of "soil underfoot".
Step 4
The body temperature of a healthy animal is slightly higher than that of a human body, so that the most comfortable and pleasant water for cats and cats seems to be 38-39 degrees. Do not pour too cold water, the animal can easily catch a cold in the internal organs and develop inflammation, but you should not torture the pet with too hot water. Use a thermometer - animals cannot speak. The bath should be filled approximately to the throat of your cat - no more, as the water should never get into the ears.
Step 5
After bathing, the animal should be carefully wiped off and released for a walk in a clean room with a source of heat, where in no case should there be open windows or drafts. When the cat dries up a little or comes to its senses - gently and carefully comb its coat with a comb with rare teeth, this will help the animal dry even faster.
