Step 1
In order for the dog to go to its place by itself, it must be comfortable. A place is a bedding, a couch, or a house. Even a simple rolled up blanket can serve as a place. The main thing is that it should be made of natural soft fabric, not prickly, not electrified. It is better to choose a place with a removable cover. For hygiene reasons, wash it at least once every two weeks or whenever it gets dirty.
Step 2
See where the dog feels most comfortable, where does it tend to go to bed? If you are comfortable with this place, put a couch there. If not, put it in the place of your choice, but keep in mind, then training the puppy to the command will be a little more difficult. The place where the couch stands should be well ventilated and light, but not in a draft or open sun.
Step 3
"A place!" - this is such a team, to which it is necessary to accustom to it from the first days of the appearance of the animal in the house. It is better to teach puppies to the place, but an adult dog can also be taught this command. Feed, walk and play with your dog. She should be tired enough not to overreact to sounds and smells. Watch your dog. As soon as you see that she is looking for a place to go to bed, take her in your arms and carry her to the couch. In this case, on the way you should clearly pronounce: "Place!". After laying the dog down, stroke it and again loudly, but in a commanding voice, say: "Place!". Then start moving away.
Step 4
If you see that the puppy has followed you, turn around and strictly repeat the command to him. Wait for its execution. If you see that the puppy does not understand what you want from him, take him to the bed again and repeat that this is his place. Repeat this exercise about five times a day for two to three weeks. Then do not carry, but lead the dog to its place on the leash. Then eliminate the leash. Remember to give your dog a treat every time he follows the command correctly.

The “place” command is extremely important for your comfortable life with your dog under one roof. The animal should be sent to the place not only when it wants to sleep, but also so that the dog does not beg, does not interfere with cleaning or receiving guests.
