You can also collect hay dust, to which dried and crushed egg shells are added. Stir and pour into a small feeder. The shell contains a lot of calcium, which is essential for egg production.

Grow more beets and pumpkins. These vegetables will be delicious not only for your family, but also for chickens. Offer chunks a day to the birds in winter, they will bite them with pleasure. Vegetables contain enough liquid to quench your thirst for a day. But water must still be in the chicken coop. Even if it freezes.
Step 4
Adjust a small dry bath. Pour clean river sand and some small pebbles into it. Chickens love to clean feathers in such baths, peck small stones, which is good for egg production.

In winter, the coop should be dry, clean, light. Increase winter daylight for birds. To do this, leave the light in the chicken coop overnight. If it's not difficult for you, you can turn on the light early in the morning at 6, and turn it off late in the evening, at 10-11.
