Lovely and adorable puppies evoke affection and the desire to pamper them, take them in your arms, and caress them. However, this behavior very quickly leads to the fact that the dog turns (from your point of view) into a real monster: gnaws on slippers, scatters newspapers and tears your bed, often confusing it with a toilet. And the owners are faced with the question: how to wean your pet from the bed?
It is necessary
- - litter;
- - foil;
- - pillows.
Instructions
Step 1
Train your dog to have its own place. This should be done as soon as the puppy appears in the house. This demonstration allows you to immediately start teaching and training the dog. Bring the baby to the litter (the main thing is that you do not change its location in the future), point at it with your hand and say the command. This is usually the word "place". After the puppy is in his bed, praise him.
Step 2
Do not hit or scold your puppy when you find him on the bed. Make him obey your words - there can be only one owner in the house, and you should become this owner. Try to gain respect, but do not intimidate the puppy, otherwise it will grow out of a cowardly and aggressive dog, which will become a source of threat to you and your family.
Step 3
Wean the puppy off the bed so that he just stops wanting to jump on it. So, placing on it a mountain of pillows that will fall on the puppy during the next attempt to conquer the master's "Everest" or covering it with a terrible rustling foil, you will achieve that the dog will start to bypass the bed. The main thing is to avoid extreme measures that will cause anxiety or unnecessary stress. The measures should be gentle enough, but effective.
Step 4
Praise your dog if he is in the right place and follows your commands. So many owners, after the command "No", their puppy jumps out of bed, scold him or take a neutral position, forgetting about the reward. Forget about your own negative emotions and follow the rule: the completed command entails a reward. Otherwise, they will simply cease to obey you.
Step 5
Pay attention to how often you walk your puppy. If he not only sleeps in bed or makes a mess on it, but relieves on it, then this is due to the fact that the dog does not have enough time for a walk. Remember to release a puppy more often than an adult dog.
Step 6
Do all the recommended actions in parallel: train to the place, develop a reaction to the command "fu" and "no", develop methods to eliminate the desire of the puppy to climb onto the bed, and then you will soon achieve the desired result, and as a pleasant bonus you will see that the dog learned a few basic commands.
