Any animal makes better contact if it is repeated regularly. So take some time for your canary. The best moments for this are when cleaning the cage.

When cleaning the cage, try not to make sudden movements or make noise. Do not grab the bird with your hands during the first days of its stay in your home. Give her time to adapt, get used to a new habitat.

The best way to start taming your canary is to feed it. Put some food on your palm and slowly move your hand to the bird's beak. Do this slowly, without sudden movements. Repeat this technique regularly.

Therefore, check: if all doors and windows are closed, if your other pets (dogs, cats) are nearby. Try to hold the bird with your hand, but do not squeeze it tightly.

And, of course, try to have its own name from the very first day the canary appears in your home. In those moments when you clean up or feed the bird, say this name. Do this often and clearly. This will also train your pet to your voice.
