Fleas appear in animals that go for a walk outside and come into contact with relatives. If you find an "addition" in your furry that runs randomly along the whole body, do not be alarmed, but immediately start treatment. Fleas are not transmitted to humans, so you don't have to worry about your hair. There are several ways to remove insects.
Instructions
Step 1
Buy flea drops at any veterinary store. Be careful, the dosage is calculated in milligrams, respectively, look at how many kilograms of live weight the "pipette" is designed for. If you apply a large dose to the skin of an animal, there is a high risk of poisoning. For therapeutic purposes, apply the product to the scruff, and after two weeks, repeat the treatment. For prophylaxis, use the drug no more than 1 time in 2 months.
Step 2
A flea collar will help cats. It is undesirable for cats to wear it, as they sometimes conflict with each other and in a fight can cause harm by catching on the collar. Do not forget that it must be changed periodically, because the protective effect lasts from 1 to 3 months. The collar not only protects against unexpected "guests", but also helps to eliminate existing fleas.
Step 3
If your animal is quite supportive of water procedures, then the best option is to wash with a flea shampoo. You will not only eliminate insects, but also clean the fur of the animal from dirt, including flea eggs. Rinse your pet thoroughly, otherwise it can be poisoned when it starts to lick the fur.
Step 4
After removing the insects, eliminate the parasites from the animal. Usually, if there are fleas, there are also worms. In any case, prevention won't hurt either. Buy a slurry and pour it into the fluffy's mouth. It's sweet, so there shouldn't be much resistance. The situation is worse with taking pills, but it is recommended to give them only to dogs, cats will obviously not eat them even in the main meal.
